Y.B. Dato' Chor Chee Heung was born on 5 March 1953 in Alor Setar.
He received his early education at the National Type (C) Chung Hwa
Primary School, Sik. He was then transferred to the St. Xavier's
Institution, Penang until standard three. Then, he was transferred
again to the Iskandar Primary School, Alor Setar until he completed
standard six. Y.B. Dato' Chor continued his studies at the Sultan
Abdul Hamid College, Alor Setar he completed form five, and later
entered a college in Singapore for his form Six. Because of his
strong ambition to become a lawyer, in 1978 he left for London to
study law at the Lincoln's Inn, London. From 1979 until 1980, he
did his Master's degree in Business Law at City University, London.
Career

Tionghua Business Association of Kedah (1985-1990)
- Treasurer, MCA Alor Setar Division (1987)
- Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Transport (May 1995)
- Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (1999)
His active involvement in the activities of trade associations
and his main career as a lawyer became useful and helped YB Dato'
Chor to continue serving and pursuing his political career, in which
he was deeply involved. He started to be on intimate terms with
the MCA on the encouragement of his friends in the MCA.

As a Member of Parliament, he played a role in taking steps to
channel allocations available to enhance the livelihood and the
and quality of life of the people, socially and economically, apart
from strengthening the unity among the various races.
In appreciation of his services and contributions, Y.B. Dato' Chow
was bestowed several honours and awards. They include the A.M.K.,
the J.P. and the D.S.D.K. which carries the title Dato'.
