Dato' Haji Nor Aman was born on 30 January, 1939 in Sungai Petani,
Kedah. He had his early education at Seberang Perak Malay School
in 1946. He was then enrolled at Sungai Petani Malay School from
1946 for 3 years. Dato' Haji Nor Aman then continued his studies
at the Ibrahim School Sungai Petani from 1950 to 1956 and later
at the Sultan Abdul Hamid College for another 2 years.
For his tertiary education, Dato' Haji Nor Aman enrolled himself
at the University of Malaya in 1960 and graduated in 1863. He then
left the country for Canada and obtained a degree in Public Administration.

them were the Bintang Cemerlang Kedah (B.C.K.), the Setia Diraja
Kedah (S.D.K.) in 1977, the Darjah Setia Diraja Kedah (D.S.D.K.)
in 1982 and finally the Bintang Perkhidmatan Lama Kedah (B.P.L.),
6 years later.
