This piece of regalia, which
is a staff 162.66 cm. long, is made of silver. Its
head is round, being a symbol of the world, and is
embedded with the symbol of the 11 districts in the
State of Kedah Darul Aman. At the bottom is a carving
of padi flowers, which is symbolic of the State of
Kedah Darul Aman being the rice bowl State of Malaysia,
and the Muda Irrigation system as being a source of
water for the padi fields. The staff is decorated
with a carving of Siamese "telepok" leaves, the orchid
flowers of Langkawi and verses from the holy Koran.
