The State of Kedah Darul Aman Orders, Decorations and Medals are divided into families and groups. There are four types of decorations according to families and they are the "Darjah Yang Maha Mulia Seri Mahkota", the "Darjah Yang Mulia Setia DiRaja", the "Darjah Yang Mulia Seri Setia Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah" and the "Darjah Kebesaran Gemilang Seri Mahkota Kedah".
